The United Nations General Assembly voted in early April to expel Russia from the body's Human Rights Council. The final vote tally was 93 to 24, with 58 abstentions, with major world powers like India, China, and Brazil refusing to join the U.S.-led effort against Vladimir Putin. Since then, many debates have emerged on the role of international institutions amid the War in Ukraine.
