Word has come from European Union leaders that many countries are looking to tighten their border policies to keep unwanted immigrants from entering various countries. Immigration has been an increasingly hot topic within the EU since 2015 when immigration levels spiked regarding the war in Syria and has recently reentered the mainstream following a shooting in Brussels, which brings us to the questions of how we got here, and where we may be going next?
